offering
PERSONALIZED Interview Preparation
- We’re
located in Santa Barbara, California (100 miles west of LAX) with
nonstop airline service from DEN, SFO, LAX, SJC, and PHX, (American
Eagle, United Airlines, United Express and America West Express)
- You’ll
work with Captain Karen Kahn, a current major airline pilot,
rather than a retired or non-pilot counselor.
- Our
scheduling is somewhat tighter due to our concurrent flying.
- Be
sure to book early: we require payment arrangements in advance to
hold your interview appointment.
- In
order not to waste your time when you arrive, we require your paperwork
in advance (copy of your application, license and medical, last 3
pages of your logbook and any questions or concerns you have).
Mail or FAX your data to arrive in our offices at least 3 days prior
to your appointment.
- Price
is $375 for the 3.5-4.0 hour session and includes SBA airport pick-up
and return. For those driving to our offices, please request
detailed directions.
- We
will provide telephone interview preparation on request. Price is
$325 and the counseling is via your phone call to us at a pre-arranged
time. Call is normally divided into two sessions: familiarization/briefing
(1.5 hours) mock interview/critique (1.5 hours)
- We
will discuss with you how the interviewers have been briefed, what
they’re told to say and do so you’ll understand their reactions to
your presentation.
- We
will not give you the video tape unless you specifically request it.
It serves no useful purpose after your initial session and we prefer
you concentrate on our face-to-face critique rather than waste value
study time reviewing a tape.
- Our
critique is 30-40 minutes long and covers in detail your answer to
every question asked.
- We
emphasize a less formal – get to know you—style of interviewing which
helps the interviewer get to know you and your best qualities.
- We
target your personal background and show you how to present an effective
answer to the question "tell us about yourself."
- Your
coach, Karen Kahn, writes interview specific articles and books on
the subject you’re most interested in…getting hired.
